U.S. Snowshoe Team

Brooks-Range is the primary sponsor of the 2011 U.S. National Snowshoe Team. Team Brooks-Range is comprised of sixteen of the finest winter endurance athletes the country has to offer. Athletes qualify for the team by finishing in the top five overall in the Men’s and Women’s 10km and the top three overall in the Junior Men’s and Women’s 5km events at the Nike ACG U.S. National Championships. Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Racing Series

Brooks-Range is the official Map Tool of Checkpoint Tracker, the largest national competitive adventure racing series in the United States. It is comprised of more than 80 events ranging from Sprint length races lasting just a few hours to Expeditions that run non-stop for several days. Racers and Teams compete in participating events to earn points that contribute towards their national ranking. American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA)

For 30 years the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) has been the premier source for training, services and credentials for professional mountain guides and climbing instructors in the United States. A national non-profit, the AMGA is committed to enhancing the quality of outdoor services provided to the public, while serving as a resource for access and protecting the natural environment. The AMGA is our nation’s exclusive representative to the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association (IFMGA), the international governing body responsible for guiding standards and education around the world. Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG)

American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE)

The American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education, or more commonly known as AIARE, provides avalanche education to more backcountry travelers than any other single avalanche education organization in the U.SAIARE draws on input from more than 300 instructors across the nation.  Whether you take an AIARE course in New Hampshire or California, the learning outcomes are the same.  If you decide to take an AIARE Level 2 in Washington after taking your AIARE Level 1 in Colorado, you enter that course with the pre-requisite knowledge as the AIARE courses build on each other, from Level 1 through Level 3.  AIARE's course curriculum is updated yearly as new knowledge and research brings new understanding.  The courses are designed with a simple premise: provide participants with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions in avalanche terrain.  For more information visit: http://avtraining.org

American Avalanche Association (AAA)

The American Avalanche Association (AAA) is comprised of a collective group of dedicated professionals engaged in the study, forecasting, control and mitigation of snow avalanches. Association membership includes qualified researchers, professional avalanche forecasters, educators, guides, snow safety officers, snow rangers and qualified ski patrollers, technicians and specialists. Canadian Avalanche Centre (CAC

The Canadian Avalanche Centre (CAC) is a non-government, not for profit organization dedicated to public avalanche safety. The CAC came into existence in 2004 with the support and collaboration of federal, provincial and private sector agencies involved in avalanche safety.  Each year, CAC coordinates public avalanche safety programs, delivers public avalanche awareness and education programs, provides curriculum and support to instructors of recreational avalanche courses, acts as a central point-of-contact for avalanche information, and encourages avalanche research.  The CAC also develops and delivers public avalanche bulletins and special avalanche warnings for many of the mountainous regions of western Canada.  For more info, visit: http://www.avalanche.ca/cac
