Compact Shovels

A Brooks-Range compact snow shovel can collapse down to 26 inches (66cm) with a T-handle and Mini-Pro blade, or telescope out to almost 38 inches (96 cm) inches with a D-handle and Pro blade. Our compact snow shovel provide plenty of leverage for moving snow and is one of the most versatle climbing equipment.

To maintain the full range of versatility you expect from a backcountry shovel, the compact shaft comes as a four piece integrated unit, with two inner sleeves that can be used with the two outer sleeves to become stretcher bars for a rescue sled.

Our compact shovels come with large (Pro) or small (Mine-Pro) blades, with a straight (Backcountry) or
serrated (Sharktooth) leading edge.
