The Brooks-Range LongNeckPro Backcountry Shovel™ is the choice of professionals worldwide. With the longest shaft of any shovel designed for backcountry use, it extends to more than a full meter (almost 45" or 113 cm) and shrinks to 32 inches (91cm) when you need it short for digging in tight spaces. Either way, extended or collapsed, this shovel will help you make short work of the digging to be done, whether fortifying your camp, or performing a rescue.

The Pro blade's 9¾ x 11 inch scoop is made of premium tempered aluminum for strength and durability. Deadman holes allow for use as an emergency anchor. The two-piece shovel shaft can double as stretcher bars with Brooks-Range Mountaineering Rescue Sled™.
