Brooks-Range shovels are superb avalanche & backcountry tools — bombproof and versatile. The heat-treated aluminum shafts come in two telescoping sizes: Compact and LongNeck™. Regardless of size, each shaft has slots cut in them so they can double as stretcher bars for a rescue sled in avalanches or other emergencies. Our collapsible snow shovel & portable shovel and standard shovel are anodized in a variety of colors to prevent oxidation. Finally, the tops of the blades are flat so you can kick ‘em repeatedly to penetrate hard, icy snow.

Our shovel blades come in four configurations, as determined by size, Pro or Mini-Pro, and edge type, Backcountry (straight) or Sharktooth™ (aggressive serration).
